Kathak Training:
Born ( January 4th, 1963 ) a child prodigy Pandita Archana Joglekar is trained extensively in all three Gharanas of Kathak, Lucknow, Jaipur & Banaras. She started learning Kathak at the age of 5 from mother & Guru Smt. Asha Joglekar. For 20 + years she received extensive training of Kathak in all three gharanas.
She took further training & guidance into detailed nuances of kathak from Late Pandit Gopikrishna, Late Pandita Rohini Bhate, Maharaj Krishna Kumar (Banaras Gharana) , Late Pandit Tirthram Azad.& Pandit Birju Maharaj
Oddissi: 10 years extensive training from Late Padmavibhushan Kelucharan Mohapatra and Guru Shankar Behra.
Hindustani Vocal: Training for 5 years from Sangeet Alankar : Smt. Kunda Deshmukh
Experience :
Guru Archana Joglekar has been teaching for past more than 35 years.
She worked as paper setter, moderator and checker for written exams and also as examiner for practical exams of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya

Guru Archana Joglekar created many dance choreographies on stage which were critically acclaimed and highly appreciated by connoisseurs as well as common audience. She has created dance choreographies on compositions of Saint Kavi Surdas, Tulsidas, Kalidas, Meerabai, Tukaram, Dnyaneshwar, Krishnadas. Her choreographies of Sour-Sukta , Ganapati Atharwasheersha, Ardhanarishwar, Shakuntal (solo presentation) are highly acclaimed. She choregraphed many dance ballets like History of Kathak Dance, Courtisans, Ritu-Raag- Darshan, Vishwanayika.The fact that Guru Archana Joglekar is experienced full-fledged writer, Director and visualizer of TV serial and films has given her ace up while creating various presentations on stage

In USA Guru Archana Joglekar has conducted Lectures- demonstrations various Universities like Princeton Univeristy, Duke University. She has conducted Kathak semesters consecutively for 3 years at Princeton University. She has also presented combined lecture-demonstration with Dr. Sunil Kothari at Princeton University. |
